ET | Finance Business Partner | Amsterdam | SaaS Event Tech | 79k

We're in search of a seasoned Finance Business Partner to join our team. In this role, you'll oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reporting to the CEO, you'll collaborate with departments to meet financial goals. This is a hands-on role, not managerial, there is no finance team in place at this time, but there is a possibility to become a teammanager in the future. Preferably looking for someone who fits in the informal culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Collaborate with department heads to create and manage annual budgets.
• Monitor budget variances and work with department heads to identify cost- saving opportunities.

Financial Reporting
• Assist external accountants to submit tax filings and create the year-end report.
• Generate and analyze financial reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to the leadership team.
• Prepare and present an accurate P&L statement.

Cash flow management
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
• Optimize cash management practices to maximize returns on idle funds.

Finance Operations
• Oversee Accounts Payable processes for (mostly) overhead costs. Set-up an internal process to ensure invoices are approved and paid timely.
• Support HR to run monthly salary administration, payment runs and expenses claimed.
• Eventix does not have Accounts Receivable, given that we automatically deduct fees from the payout to our clients. Keep an overview of some ad hoc outstanding loans and/or AR to customers, and follow up timely.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and financial modeling.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • You are a EU national or a Permanant Residence of the Netherlands or hold a partner visa
  • Fluency in English
