Our client is rapidly expanding tech firm specializing in observability and monitoring solutions tailored for Kubernetes environments. Our leading product enables engineers to swiftly identify and resolve application issues. As we broaden our SaaS portfolio, we seek a proficient Kubernetes Support Operations Engineer L1 and L2 to bolster our operational practices.

As a Kubernetes Support Operations Engineer L1 and L2, your primary responsibility will encompass monitoring, managing, and supporting our SaaS clusters. Your pivotal role will ensure the high availability and performance of our services, facilitating the transition to a 24/7 support model.

Key Duties:
- Monitor and oversee the health and performance of SaaS clusters utilizing monitoring tools.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes environments, including monitoring and scaling operations.
- Establish and enforce best practices for Kubernetes and cloud operations.
- Proactively manage incidents to avert potential outages and minimize downtime.
- Contribute to the on-call rotation, delivering expert support beyond regular business hours.
- Collaborate with the development team to optimize platform operability.
- Guide the operations team in adhering to best practices for cloud and Kubernetes management.
- Document operational procedures and system configurations for seamless handover to support teams.

Your profile:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing SaaS and Self-Hosted Kubernetes environments with IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, etc.
- Experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure operations.
- Solid background in cloud technologies and operations, preferably with SaaS platform focus.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools, particularly in a Kubernetes context.
- Ability to adapt to support schedules including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with effectiveness in dynamic team environments.
- You currently live in the EU and can work as a contractor freely within the EU

Nice to have:
- Familiarity with GitOPS, IaC, and Immutable Architecture principles, scripting, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of compliance and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in additional monitoring solutions and IT operations tools.
- Certification in Kubernetes Administration (CKA) or equivalent credentials.
